SILENT AS THE DEAD

Playing house can be deadly

Detective Warren Trace loves his job. It’s the people that get in the way. When his latest drug bust leads to a five-year-old deaf girl, he’ll have his hands full. She may have witnessed her mother’s murder but has no language and refuses to leave his side. Trace will need all the help he can get. What he doesn’t want is to fall for the girl’s irresistible interpreter and foster mom. Trace will have to open his heart and confront his demons to catch the killer and bring them to justice.

Danielle Benton is the only one able to reach the young, traumatized witness. When she agrees to take the child into her care, danger will follow her home. Ripped out of her routine life and no longer safe, Danielle is thrust into the luxury apartment and strong arms of Detective Trace. Grappling with her growing attraction to the brooding detective and struggling to help the little girl, Danielle must choose between a safe bet and passionate risk.

Unavoidably drawn together by danger, Trace and Danielle will fight to keep the little girl safe, but taking a chance on love will require risking their hearts.
